Artist Statement

I have now begun painting the "Gay and Lesbian Rights Are Fundamental Human Rights" panel of this piece... I believe that my God is based in love, and finding love and life partnership can be found in more than just one perspective... I also believe that my God would not deny any of us the right to find love, or treat us as less than human because we find love and partnership in a same sex partner/lover. That belief is the focus of this portion of this piece, and finding love and partnership to me, is a basic civil and human right, regardless of an individuals choice in who they find love and partnership with, just because someone is homosexual does not make them a lesser human being than someone who is heterosexual, and that mindset within our society needs to be addressed and overcome.
